Résumé

The Montreal Transit Commission (STM) and the Laval Transit Commission (STL) have put in place few years ago transit user information system that are accessible through their website. The functions which are there (calculation of transit paths, calculation of service accessibility, schedules) are used daily by thousands of net surfers. Obviously, these systems have a double function: in addition to providing information to the users, they can inform the organization about their mobility behaviours and their trip patterns. Moreover, the examination of the logs of the localization search features of these websites makes it possible to enrich the geographical information system (GIS) subjacent.
